Accessibility Statement

I want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboards only, voice control, magnification or high contrast settings. This page explains what I have done and how to reach me if something does not work for you.

Our goal

This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. I test it with automated tools and by hand, and I fix problems as I find them. I do not claim the site is perfect, and I treat accessibility as ongoing work.

What is in place

  • A skip link at the top of every page, and a clear heading structure with one main heading per page.
  • Full keyboard use, with a visible focus outline on links, buttons and form fields.
  • Text and buttons that meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio in both the dark and the light theme. You can switch themes with the sun and moon button in the header.
  • Pages that reflow to small screens and work when you zoom text to 200 percent.
  • Descriptive text for images that carry meaning, and labels on all form fields and controls.
  • Links that open in a new tab say so to screen readers.
  • Animations that respect your device setting for reduced motion, and decorative movement that stops by itself after a few seconds.

Known limits

  • Embedded videos and the booking calendar come from other companies (YouTube and Calendly). Their accessibility is outside my control, although I choose settings that help where I can.
  • Older blog posts may have images with short descriptions that I am still improving.

Tell me about a problem

If you cannot use part of this site, or you need information in another format, email rolijonclemenia@gmail.com with the page address and what went wrong. I aim to reply within two business days and to fix the issue as soon as I can.
